SPY game vs. Steroids

We have all seen Barry Bonds' career and reputation shattered because of steroid allegations, along with a number of other major league baseball players just the same. This begs the question: Why does no one care that the Patriots cheated? When the Patriots were caught and confronted for spying on other teams signal calling the NFL burned the evidence and the media dropped the story. This is ludicrous!! I would pose the question; What if Bonds knew what pitch the pitcher was going to throw every time he stepped into the batters box? The answer is simple, he would have 1200 home runs and leave all records in the dust. Yes steroid use is cheating by making you unnaturally stronger than the competition but it falls well short of the advantages of having knowledge as to what your opponent is going to do. This is the knowledge that has lifted the seemingly average patriots and below average quarterback to an undefeated force led by one of the "greatest" quarterbacks of all time. Odd? I'd say so. Tom Brady's draft sheet graded him at a C- which is barely enough to get drafted and he had settled into a backup roll with the patriots. His chance came when Drew Bledsoe went down giving Brady the opportunity to start. This was the same time that the Patriots spy games allegedly began. If Brady was this good wouldn't professional scouts have noticed years ago? And how did the same team that had been no better than average for years, become the "best team in NFL history?" Again the answer is simple, any professional quarterback that knows what the defense is doing play after play can escalate themselves to Brady's current status. When we try to explain Brady's abilities it always goes like this; he doesn't have a great arm hes slow and all around not your typical athlete, but he just seems to know what's going on and has exceptional awareness. Interesting to say the least. The type of cheating done by the Patriots is far more game altering than any performance enhancing drug and it is a shame that the league and media drop the issue. (the same media that is relentless on Bonds and other baseball players) I mean we wouldn't want to lose the NFL's darling team. After all, ratings are much more important than fair play. ugh

A Generation Blinded by Liberalism

What has happened to the youth of this country? How have we forgotten the foundation that this country was built on? These are two questions that have our forefathers turning over in their graves. Can you really imagine Thomas Jefferson being a liberal in today's society?
The backbone of liberalism is a flimsy one that strives on comfort in the here and now rather than what's best for the future. Have we forgotten the hard work that our ancestors put in to bring us to where we are today? The fact of the matter is we should each thank God everyday that our fore fathers didn't display the same objectives of today's liberal. The idea of liberalism is that individual liberty is the number one priority over everything else including national security. When we take a look back at the history of this country you would not find a single instance in which individual liberty was put before national security and you certainly wouldn't find a time in which the citizens disagreed. Take WWI for example; during the war, citizen's gave up parts of their salary to support the war and thousands upon thousands jumped at the opportunity to defend their country. This was a war in which we lost millions of lives and is still to this day considered a triumphant military victory for the U.S. Now half the country "liberals" are awe stricken that we have lost almost 4,000 soldiers in 6 years in Iraq!!! Let's do a review: Accomplishments: handcuffing the operations of one of the world's biggest terroristic threats, Osama Bin Laden. The execution of a terrorist leader that has slaughtered thousands during his reign, Sadam Husein. A strong presence in the world's most controversial area, the Middle East. A liberation of a nation once dictated by a murderer, and great strides towards setting up a successful democracy in a nation that could serve as a very valuable ally in the Middle East.
These are all significant accomplishments of this war and at a much lower cost than any other war in U.S. history.
One day maybe the people of this country will return back to the ways of their fore fathers and remember what this great country was founded on which is far from liberal ways. Let's stop worrying about global warming, and welfare, and get our heads in the game and focus on what's really going on in this world and what it takes to keep all of us and our country safe.
